Memorial Highway Chevrolet operates dealerships in Somerset, Windber and West Mifflin, Pennsylvania, and must meet the FTC Safeguards Rule and GM cybersecurity requirements while keeping sales, financing and service online. viLogics became the group's single accountable partner for cybersecurity, networking, connectivity and support, then standardized the newly acquired West Mifflin dealership and coordinated its move off an inherited CDK DMS. Over approximately 2.5 years, Memorial recorded zero successful cybersecurity breaches and zero cybersecurity-related outages across all three locations.
successful cybersecurity breaches in about 2.5 years
cybersecurity-related outages in the same period
dealerships running on one security and support standard
help-desk contact for every employee at every location
Memorial Highway Chevrolet is a multi-location dealership group serving West Central Pennsylvania and the greater Pittsburgh market. Like most dealers that arrange consumer financing, it handles customer financial information and falls under the FTC Safeguards Rule, and it runs on internet-dependent systems for sales, F&I, service, parts and warranty work.
For dealerships, cybersecurity is now a requirement of doing business. Memorial needed a security program that stays compliant every day, not just at audit time, while keeping internet, manufacturer systems and phones running at every location. Then an acquisition raised the stakes: a larger store with an incumbent MSP and an inherited CDK dealership management system.
"Downtime costs us opportunities, and a security problem can affect our clients and our ability to do business. We needed someone who understood that."
-General Manager, Memorial Highway Chevrolet
When Memorial acquired West Mifflin, it replaced the incumbent MSP with viLogics based on two years of results at Somerset and Windber.
viLogics manages cybersecurity, firewalls, switches, access points, Wi-Fi, WAN connectivity, VoIP integration, endpoints and help desk for all three dealerships under one standard.
Results reported by viLogics for the approximately 2.5-year engagement period.
No successful cybersecurity breaches across any dealership during the approximately 2.5-year engagement.
No cybersecurity-related outages in the same period. This doesn't claim zero outages from every cause.
Multi-carrier WAN failover and continuity options improved internet uptime and reduced single points of failure.
Networking, Wi-Fi, VoIP, endpoints and security run in one support model, including the acquired West Mifflin store.
""Downtime costs us opportunities, and a security problem can affect our clients and our ability to do business. We needed someone who understood that. viLogics has helped us keep our dealerships secure, connected, and running, with zero successful breaches or cyber-related outages over roughly two and a half years. When we acquired another dealership, we trusted them to bring that location under the same security and support model. Having one partner across all three stores makes it easier to grow without adding more technology problems to manage.” "
