Case Studies > Marinas & Hospitality
Stella Hope Springs Marina, a full-service marina on Aquia Creek in Stafford, Virginia, was running on aging servers, network equipment and workstations, with limited internal resources to manage them. viLogics assessed the site, replaced critical servers and aging infrastructure, deployed new firewall technology, refreshed workstations and now provides ongoing managed IT and cybersecurity. After multiple on-site modernization projects, the marina has a responsive partner it trusts, so technology issues don't interrupt operations or the customer experience during boating season.
core systems modernized: servers, firewall, network and workstations
standardized network infrastructure across the marina
accountable partner for IT and cybersecurity, with repeated positive feedback from leadership
Stella Hope Springs Marina is a full-service marina on a protected section of Aquia Creek in Stafford, Virginia. It serves boaters throughout the season with a 300-rack indoor boathouse, 180 deep-water slips, four paved launch ramps and 700 feet of sandy beach. When technology goes down during the season, operations and customer service feel it right away.
Over time, the marina had accumulated aging infrastructure and recurring technology issues. Server reliability concerns, network challenges and outdated systems created operational risk, and with limited internal resources there was no practical way to manage the environment proactively.
"We can focus on running the marina instead of worrying about the next technology issue."
Carol El-Bisi, General Manager, Stella Hope Springs Marina
The marina wanted more than technical fixes. It needed a partner that would own the outcome.
viLogics combined a series of on-site modernization projects with ongoing managed IT and cybersecurity, so the marina has a team that knows its environment and stays ahead of problems.
What changed for the marina, as reported by its leadership, along with a long-term partner it trusts.
New servers, firewall and network equipment replaced the aging infrastructure that had created operational risk.
Proactive management helps catch problems before they affect staff or boaters during the season.
A team that already knows the environment responds quickly when help is needed.
Cybersecurity is managed as part of the same service, not left to a small internal team, and the technology is ready to support growth.
“When you’re running a marina, the last thing you want during boating season is technology getting in the way of serving your clients. We had aging systems and limited resources to keep everything running. viLogics helped us figure out what needed attention, modernized our infrastructure, and now manages our technology and cybersecurity. They know our business, respond when we need them, and help us stay ahead of problems. We can focus on running the marina instead of worrying about the next technology issue.”
Carol El-Bisi, General Manager, Stella Hope Springs Marina
Stop worrying about whether your systems will hold up during your busiest season. Get one team that knows your environment and takes ownership when something goes wrong.
